The Gas Powered Scooter Revolation
Gas prices are going up, up, up, and so people are forced to wise up as well. It is no wonder that there is a spike in gas powered scooter sales in the last few years. People are getting sick and tired of paying ridiculous gas prices to only get 20 MPG. The scooter has become the new best thing sometimes getting up to 100 MPG. So it is easy to see why models such as the Honda Metropolitan 100 + MPG is getting gobbled up so quickly.Since more people are buying these scooters there are more of them on the road. Which means that the once looked down upon scooter is now the cool thing to ride. There are even newer gas powered scooter models like the Piaggio MP3 500 that are really cool looking. That particular model gets up to about 55 MPG as well and can get up to 85 MPH. So say goodbye to the older and slower scooter and hello to the Piaggio MP3 500 or Vespa S. The other nice thing about scooters is that in cities that charge for parking you can usually get away with not having to pay for it. Or you would pay a fraction of the price that you would a car. The other nice thing about scooters is that you can find them really cheap. You can get the KYMCO Agility 50 for about $1,599 brand new. There are other gas powered scooter models that are even cheaper than that and you can find them used also which makes them really cheap.Like cars, scooters come in all different colors andunique designs, so you can find one to match your liking. The Piaggio MP3 500 for instance has three tires. Two in the front and one in the rear. You can get this model in red or black andeven most men who have viewed scooters as wimpy in the past would find it hard to call this one by that name. The gas powered scooter is great for tooling around town, going to and from work, or getting out of town for a day. With all the gas you would be saving with a scooter you really can go further on your dime which makes weekends a lot more fun.
