Does A Mobility Scooter Really Provide Greater Mobility?

Mobile Scooter

Sure, but they do come at a cost. Fact is, a mobile scooter is far more advanced at providing increased mobility than most other types of mobility equipment. A mobile scooter can take you places you have only dreamed of reaching.

As housing prices skyrocket, many people are finding it is hard to afford a large home. Narrower rooms, slim hallways, and smaller doorways are making it hard for anyone in a wheelchair to navigate between rooms without becoming trapped and needing assistance. Mobile scooter products provide better mobility because their wheels are specifically designed to turn on a dime by turning 360 degrees in a perfect tight circle.

Mobile scooters are also very durable and are built to last. Models come with either 3 or 4 industry tough wheels, a solid frame, and durable seating. Typically, a mobile scooter can carry up to 400lbs, though heavy-duty designs can easily support up to 500lbs. The mobile scooter’s battery can typically hold a charge for up to 25 miles of useage. In essence, this means you can ride all day and then recharge it while you are sleeping. The mobile scooters are great at both indoor and outdoor usage, meaning those with limited mobility can then travel outdoors.

These models make it easy for any person to get on and off. Many mobile scooter models come with seats that can be swiveled from side-to-side, allowing for the user to easily get down and up or reach things in difficult areas.

The low base also allows people to easily reach objects that are lower to the ground. This feature helps those who like outdoor hobbies and/or gardening.

If you have ever experienced or are currently experiencing limited mobility, you will become amazed at how much more you are able to do on a mobility scooter.

If you can steer a bicycle, you will find that these are just as simple to use. There is no reason to be missing out on the greater mobility that this option can provide.
